We're using iPads in our Library/Media Center to build collaborative intelligence and are currently writing an"innovative K-8 proposal" to teach 21st Century skills schoolwide in a 1:1 technology enriched learning environment. We'll be posting our experiences here.
I love Jim Henson, his fabulous muppets and the Jim Henson company! Jim and his family of puppeteers are responsible for the fabulous characters on Sesame Street, Kermi, terrific movies and shorts, that have entertained and taught us lessons on friendship and how to make a more peaceful world for over 25 years now. My daughters grew up with Big Bird, the Fraggles, the Muppet Show, the Labyrnth, and so much more. I remember taking them to the Discovery Museum to see the real "Kermit." Jim Henson would be 75 this year, and in honor of his contributions to the world, Google and the Jim Henson Company created a special interactive doodle for www.google.com so that everyone can experience digital puppetry and celebrate his birthday.
